Barrasso: “These unprecedented actions undermine Israel’s mission to free the hostages and eliminate Hamas. Democrats are playing right into the hands of Iran and its network of terrorists.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, today released a new report quantifying the dozens of time President Joe Biden and Democrats have abandoned Israel since the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7.

The day Hamas attacked Israel, President Biden said, “The United States stands with the state of Israel.” The Biden Administration’s actions in the six months since have proven otherwise.

“Joe Biden abandons our friend Israel at every possible turn,” said Chairman Barrasso. “Since the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks, Biden and Democrats have intentionally undermined Israel dozens of times.”

From Biden’s Rafah red line to demands for a ceasefire without releasing hostages and diplomats abstaining from a key vote at the United Nations, Democrats are proving that their support for Israel is far from guaranteed.

Chairman Barrasso continued, “President Biden is demanding a highly damaging, unconditional ceasefire. Meanwhile, Democrats in Congress are equating Prime Minister Netanyahu to Hamas. These unprecedented actions undermine Israel’s mission to free the hostages and eliminate Hamas. Democrats are playing right into the hands of Iran and its network of terrorists. Republicans believe Israel has every right to self-defense. Our support for Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East, will not waver.”
